8/25/2010 - RAY LAMONTAGNE AND THE PARIAH DOGS' GOD WILLIN' & THE CREEK DON'T RISE DEBUTS AT #3
(New York, New York) Ray LaMontagne's 4th studio album God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise debuts at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Digital album chart selling over 64,000 units. This marks a personal sales best for Ray and ties his debut chart position at #3 for Gossip in the Grain. The first single off the album, "Beg, Steal or Borrow" is currently #2 on the AAA chart which is also a career high for Ray.
Entirely self produced (for the first time) God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise was recorded in two weeks at LaMontagne's home in the woods of western Massachusetts. The newly restored historic home served as a homemade recording studio for Ray and his fellow musicians.
Critics are raving over the newest addition to LaMontagne's canon. The New York Daily News' 5 star review says the album is, "one of the stand out releases of the year" and says LaMontagne "approaches Van Morrison's greatest leaps into the mystic." Associated Press calls it, "one of the year's best" while the Boston Globe calls it "an absolute gem." Both the Los Angeles Times and USA Today give the album 3 1/2 stars (out of 4).
LaMontagne continues on the road with David Gray through September 10th. The Boston Herald claims, "LaMontagne has innate down-home grit, and his music possesses a simmering roots-rock fire." During his last North American tour, Spin.com proclaimed Ray, "illustrated a near flawless transition from a front porch in Maine to the front of the most prestigious stage in the world (Radio City Music Hall)."
Along with being on tour, Ray is gearing up for performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live in early September.
The newly coined 'Pariah Dogs', consists of Jay Bellerose (drums), Jennifer Condos (bass), Eric Heywood (guitar) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel guitar).

8/10/2010 - Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. to release eagerly-awaited album RECORD COLLECTION on RCA Records S
Mark Ronson is back and this time, more than ever, he means business - The Business Intl., in fact. Record Collection is the third album headed up by the Trans-Atlantic music mastermind and, as usual, he's bought a host of talented friends and mainstay collaborators along for the ride, resulting in a disparate group of over 30 musicians and singers.
Mark Ronson's critically acclaimed 2007 album Version sold one million copies in his native UK, and helped him earn the 2008 Grammy Award for Producer Of The Year, as well as the Best Male Solo Artist gong at the Brit Awards. One would think those accolades would inspire a similar sonic output, but upon starting work on Record Collection, Ronson made a point of ripping up his own rule book. So it's goodbye to The Dap Kings and their horn-y break downs and au revoir to the innovative cover versions. Instead, Ronson is saying hello to Brooklyn b-boy sonics, swirling retro synthesized sounds and the kind of off-kilter pop sixth sense that simply gets you on your feet. Recorded predominately at Dunham Studios in Brooklyn, and working with vintage keyboards Ronson bought on eBay, the album melds 80's pop and French electro with old skool hip-hop beats.
Record Collection marks Ronson's debut as a vocalist. "Lose It (In The End)" was co-written by Jonathan Pierce of The Drums and features rhymes from Ghostface Killah and Mark himself. It's not the only track with he sings on; he also lends his soft tones to the album's winking title track, a satirical swipe at the music industry and Ronson's perceived lifestyle, written by Nick Hodgson of the Kaiser Chiefs. It sees Ronson bemoaning "I drive 'round cities in a chariot/I get preferential treatment at the Marriott." Featuring a soaring chorus sung by Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and keyboards from Nick Rhodes, "Record Collection" is one of the album's stand-out songs on a record packed with them.
Notable too is "Glass Mountain Trust" with lyrics and vocals provided by R&B genius/ recluse D'Angelo, in what is a rare and formidable appearance. The old school flavor of the album is behind much of its charm. "The Bike Song" - co-written by The Zutons' Dave McCabe and with laid back, but never lazy, vocals from The View's Kyle Falconer and Spank Rock - boasts an almost psychedelic 60's vibe while the warm doo-wop of "The Night Last Night" is brought to glorious life by former Pipette Rose Elinor Dougall. Rose also features on "You Gave Me Nothing," another track co-written by Jonathan of The Drums. Appearing alongside Miike Snow frontman Andrew Wyatt, it's an anti love song, the tale of a warring couple set in front of an sumptuous 80's synth backdrop.
"Somebody To Love Me" is another highlight. Jake Shears of Scissors Sisters, Cathy Dennis, erstwhile Dirty Pretty Thing Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt all had a hand in writing what Ronson describes as a "bionic" song. Then he persuaded Boy George, at his most cracked diva-esque, to sing this song of "earnest blue-eyed soul" and a lost club classic with a modern twist.
And by now, half the globe is already familiar with lead-in single "Bang Bang Bang", a 3am Cote d'Azur disco beat featuring Q-Tip and MNDR that takes the French nursery rhyme "Alouette" and turns it into a Jean Michel Jarre meets NYC hip-pop sing-along. A smash hit on dancefloors, radio playlists and singles charts everywhere from Japan to Australia, France to Finland, "Bang Bang Bang" kicks Record Collection off with inimitable style and panache.

COME AROUND SUNDOWN SET TO BE RELEASED OCTOBER 19, 2010
RCA Records is excited to announce that Kings of Leon will release the highly anticipated fifth album, Come Around Sundown, on October 19, 2010 in North America and October 18 in the UK. It was recorded in New York at Avatar Studios and produced once again by Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King.

As proven throughout their storied career, Kings of Leon love to work. Whether writing, recording or touring, the band is constantly in motion. Once they finished touring in support of Only By The Night at the end of October of 2009, they went back in the studio to record in February 2010. This past June, they returned to their home state with a triumphant headlining slot at the prestigious Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and then began a North American shed tour in July that will end on September 23. In two weeks, the band will headline the Outside Lands Music & Arts festival in San Francisco's legendary Golden Gate Park.

Their third, self-titled album SAY ANYTHING produced by veteran producer/mixer/engineer Neal Avron, was released in November 2009, and the band embarked on a national tour with sold out shows in nearly every city, performing the album's first single "I Hate Everyone" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Time Out New York declared SAY ANYTHING "uncommonly innovative," while Spin described it as "clever...earnest...lyrical jujitsu." Of their most recent NY show, Rob Harvilla of the Village Voice gushed:"I love this band and feel ridiculous about it. They're still capable of ludicrous, shameless, mega-emo transcendence." Over the years, Say Anything has toured with such artists as Angels + Airwaves, My Chemical Romance, Manchester Orchestra, Dashboard Confessional, Saves the Day, mewithoutyou, Ben Lee, and on the Warped Tour. Exploding onto the music scene, Say Anything released their 2004 Doghouse Records debut ...Is A Real Boy, which told the ultimate coming-of-age story in a swirling storm of sex, drugs, angst, and gut-wrenchingly honest rock & roll. In 2005, Say Anything signed with RCA Music Group, which re-released ...Is A Real Boy with a bonus CD entitled ...Was A Real Boy (2006), and their critically-acclaimed sophomore double-disc album In Defense of the Genre soon followed in 2007. Additionally, "Yeah Yeah Yeah" has been chosen as the Alli Theme Song for both the Dew Tour 2010 and the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross tour. New Politics will be performing on 7/23 at the Chicago Dew Tour BMX Open. Their performance will be televised on NBC, USA, MTV2 as well as internationally.
Already deemed "Buzzworthy" by MTV.com and featured on ESPN.com, their video for "Yeah Yeah Yeah" is in the Top 10 on the FUSE Alternative Countdown. 6/14/2010 - 2AM CLUB WILL PERFORM ON A VERY SPECIAL EPISODE OF ABC FAMILY'S NEW SUMMER HIT 'PRETTY LITTLE LIARS'
(New York, New York) - 2AM Club will be performing a handful of songs off their upcoming debut album What Did You Think Was Going To Happen? (RCA Records) on the July 13th episode of ABC Family's new summer hit Pretty Little Liars. What Did You Think Was Going To Happen? is set for release on July 27, 2010 and features "Worry About You" their first single. Filmed in Los Angeles in late May, 2AM Club spent all day on the top secret set, filming numerous performance numbers and mingling with the stars.
Fresh off their east coast run which featured a headlining gig at Gramercy Theater in NYC and their 5 show stint in Austin for SXSW, 2AM Club are currently on the road with Chiddy Bang for a 12 date run which began on June 9th in Seattle and culminates in Los Angeles on June 22nd and then they head east for a round of dates with TVTV and Menya.
The 6 members of 2AM Club - singer Marc Griffin, emcee Tyler Cordy, guitarist Matt Reagan, keyboard player Dave Dalton, drummer Ian O'Neill and bassist Matt Warshauer, AKA "Sauce"-bring a diverse array of influences to the table (Jay Z to the Beatles, Duran Duran to the Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder to The Strokes), effortlessly synthesizing the very best of all that has come before them to create music that is resoundingly modern.
One part Seattle, one part Bay Area and one part Northeast, the group came together in Los Angeles in 2007 and honed their skills playing the local college scene before heading up and down the West Coast, booking, producing, and headlining their own gigs. After recording some demos with Jerry Harrison-a former member of the Talking Heads and Modern Lovers-2AM Club played a now-legendary four-month residency they called "Tiny Porno" at the Derby in L.A., and word quickly spread that it was the place to be. They then picked up and transplanted to NYC to record What Did You Think Was Going To Happen? With producers Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Boys Like Girls, Katy Perry, Gym Class Heroes).

6/14/2010 - ADAM LAMBERT TO PREMIERE THE VIDEO FOR HIS NEW SINGLE "IF I HAD YOU" ON VH1.COM AND ADAMOFFICIAL.COM
(NEW YORK, NY) - Superstar Adam Lambert will premiere the video for his new single "If I Had You" on VH1.com and AdamOfficial.com today at 12pm EDT. Adam is currently on "The Glam Nation Tour", his first headlining tour, which will criss-cross the country all summer long.
Shot in overnight near Los Angeles' Griffith Park in early May and directed by Bryan Barber (Outkast, Christina Aguilera), the video features Lambert and cast of wildly dressed dancers and friends frolicking in the wilderness. Inspired by Adam's experience at the Burning Man festival nearly five years ago, the video pays tribute to a counter-culture of underground designers, performance artists and various bohemians who have influenced Lambert.
Says Lambert, "In addition to the fantastic beat and melody, the song's lyrics are what really stand out to me about this uplifting jam. It explores all the glitz of life in celebrity culture but reveals how it can all be a facade without true connectivity to others. The message is one of Love. Over the past year, in addition to my unbelievable opportunities, I have also been faced with the unique challenge of staying positive in light of some critics and closed mindedness. My friends, family, and my devoted fans have been a key force in keeping me grounded. I wanted to make a video that paid tribute to the wonderful people who've inspired me to become the artist and spirit I am today."
Adam's debut album For Your Entertainment (19 Entertainment / RCA Records) has sold over 600,000 copies since making it's debut at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in November. Adam's hit single "Whataya Want From Me," written by Pink and Max Martin, became Adam's first #1 hit on the Billboard charts, topping the Hot Singles Sales survey as well as Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. "Whataya Want From Me" has been a smash hit on many charts, including the Hot 100, Pop Songs, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Hot Digital Songs and Hot Dance Club Play. It has also become an international hit, going top 10 in Australia, Japan, Sweden and Finland and reaching #1 in Singapore. "If I Had You" just impacted at Top 40 radio earlier this month.
Adam's performances on Season 8 of "American Idol" are already legendary, his live televised collaborations with Queen and KISS were a highlight of his season and his stunning performances of songs including "Mad World," "The Tracks Of My Tears," "Ring Of Fire" and "Whole Lotta Love" are still widely regarded as some of the most captivating moments in Idol history.
Adam is currently featured as VH1's "POSTED" artist, a brand new cross-platform digital franchise, "POSTED", www.posted.vh1.com, which provides music fans with a singular destination to find social media updates, videos, news and photos of their favorite artists.
Opening for Adam on "The Glam Nation Tour" will be 25-year-old guitar goddess Orianthi and, on select shows fellow Season 8 "American Idol" finalist Allison Iraheta.

6/10/2010 - Mark Ronson and The Business Intl "Bang Bang Bang"
School's out, the sun is shining, and as tarmac melts and ACs splutter into action it's time to kick out the summer jams. May we introduce "Bang Bang Bang," a perfect slice of bouncing synth-hop from Mark Ronson and The Business Intl.
Helmed by multiple Grammy winner Mark Ronson and including the disparate talents of over 30 musicians and singers from both sides of the Atlantic, The Business Intl includes D'Angelo, Boy George, Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Alex Greenwald, Nick Hodgson (Kaiser Chiefs), Ghostface, MNDR, Dap Kings, Spank Rock, Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), Rose Eleanor Dougall, Wiley and MC Pill.
Recorded primarily in Brooklyn, the album - titled "Record Collection" - drops at the end of September and its tantalizing first offering comes in the shape of "Bang Bang Bang," a 3am Cote d'Azur disco beat featuring Q-Tip and MNDR that takes the French nursery rhyme "Alouette" and turns it into a Jean Michel Jarre meets NYC hip-pop sing-along. If ever there was a party anthem for a sticky hot summer, then this is it.
Q-Tip is an icon of New York City hip hop, a world-renowned rapper, DJ, producer and actor, shooting to fame in the 1980s as leader of A Tribe Called Quest. MNDR (aka Amanda Warner) is a startling new electronic pop recording artist and producer whose much buzzed about debut E.P.E came out in May. MNDR's debut album will be released early next year. The video for "Bang Bang Bang" was directed by Warren Fu starring Ronson, Q-Tip and MNDR and will premiere on June 12th on AOL Music. The single's impact date at radio's Alternative Specialty format is June 14th and the Mix Show format impact date is June 23rd.
Unlike his previous album 2007's much lauded Version, Record Collection consists entirely of original material, bringing together the songwriting skills of Nick Hodgson, Jonathan Pierce (The Drums), D'Angelo, Alex Greenwald and Cathy Dennis, to name just a few. As Ronson splits his time between London and New York the result is a transatlantic sound that incorporates his love of everything from hip-hop, disco, 80s pop to French electro and all points in between.
Some Early Praise for "Bang Bang Bang": "...[Record Collection] every track is the kind of forever-anthem we'll be still be humming absentmindedly when we're 60. Case in point: "Bang Bang Bang"..." - THE FADER
"It's evident that Ronson truly is creating an "international business" affair and album. "Bang Bang Bang" is, in all it's radness, high up on the list of summer jams... All-around...amazing."- Sheena Beaston.com

6/9/2010 - Los Angeles' Funeral Party Debuts August 30 with Golden Age Of Knowhere
Los Angeles, CA - June 9, 2010 - For singer Chad Elliott, guitarist James Torres, and bassist Kimo Kauhola, music was a means to escape the suburban malaise of their sleepy hometown, Whittier, California. Driven by a shared desire to break from the city's "born there, die there" cycle, Funeral Party turned to music to set them free.
Summoning the name Funeral Party a nod to The Cure's gloomy masterpiece the band found its sound playing borrowed equipment in front of rowdy backyard parties in East L.A. where teens gathered to down "jungle juice" and shake their asses to the beat. That raucous atmosphere shaped what would become the band's powerhouse mix of punk-edged dance grooves fueled by shout-along hooks.
Funeral Party was busy gigging every weekend when they were invited to record at the Mars Volta East L.A. studio. At the time, the group had three songs, but no lyrics or instruments. "I had to use raw emotion to summon the words," Elliott says. As to the lack of instruments, Torres recalls: "...we had to sneak in during off-hours and use the gear that was already there."
One of the demos they recorded ("Carwars") impressed the French band Yelle enough that it took Funeral Party along for its North American trek. Tours with And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead and Julian Casablancas followed, as did appearances at South By Southwest and the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
Soon after signing with RCA Records last year, Funeral Party began recording tracks for its full-length debut. Produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem, Oasis), Golden Age of Knowhere will be released August 30 on RCA Records.
Insistently catchy and bristling with youthful urgency, the 11 songs deliver a wicked combination of melody and relentless rhythm punctuated by Elliott's raw vocals. The first three songs - "New York City Moves To The Sound of L.A.," "Carwars," and first U.S. single "Finale" establish Funeral Party's up-tempo onslaught.
"New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A." is not only a send up of the rivalry between New York City and Los Angeles, but also a portal into the album's theme of escapism. Elliott explains: "We wrote that song to satirize the way certain bands had to move to New York to get noticed. But the song also explores the way newer movements recycle the past, and our inability to escape that cycle."

(New York - NY) - New Politics, the Brooklyn based / Denmark born rock trio who is taking the world by storm with their explosive first single "Yeah Yeah Yeah", has announced they will be releasing their self-titled debut album (RCA Records) on July 13th.
Produced by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, Cold War Kids, Johnny Cash, LCD Soundsystem, The Rolling Stones, Spoon, Wolfmother) and recorded in New York and Los Angeles, New Politics pulses with frenetic energy, dynamic beats and smart lyrics.
Fresh off their first US tour, New Politics have been heralded for their incredible live show, which features front man David Boyd doing flips, headstands, and breakdancing. New Politics will be hitting the road again this summer to support their debut release. After touring the UK and Europe earlier this year, New Politics dominated SXSW and had Spin.com declaring their performance was "...the night's most lasting take-away". They are currently being lauded as "Buzzworthy" on MTV.com and the video for "Yeah Yeah Yeah" is in rotation at MTV2 and MTVU.
"Yeah Yeah Yeah" has been chosen as the Alli Theme Song for both the Dew Tour 2010 and the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross tour. The song will be used to open and close every televised event related to both tours as well as in promotional spots leading up to every tour date. New Politics will be performing on 7/23 at the Chicago Dew Tour BMX Open. Their performance will be televised on NBC, USA, MTV2 as well as internationally.
New Politics taped a two song performance for Fuel TV's The Daily Habit which is scheduled to air on June 29th and recently brought down the house at launch event for VMAN's summer issue, in which Boyd is featured.
New Politics will head out on their first nationwide headlining tour this summer. New Politics are David Boyd (vocals), Soeren Hansen (vocals/guitar) and Poul Amaliel (drums).

6/9/2010 - KE$HA IS #1 AGAIN!!! "YOUR LOVE IS MY DRUG" CLAIMS THE #1 POSITION AT BOTH TOP 40 AIRPLAY MONITORS T
(New York - NY) - Global pop singer/songwriter Ke$ha is back at the top of the charts. Her 3rd single "Your Love Is My Drug", which she co-wrote, claims the #1 position at both Top 40 airplay monitors this week. This is Ke$ha's second #1 single and third Top 10 single. Ke$ha's debut album Animal (RCA Records / Kemosabe Entertainment) also returns to the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 with 20,540 albums sold this week.
Last month Ke$ha, a Nashville native, announced she is organizing and headlining a benefit concert on June 16th for Nashville's flood victims. 100% of profits will go to Hands On Nashville's flood relief efforts. The benefit will be held at Limelight in Nashville, which is located at 201 Woodland Street. Tickets are currently on sale and are available starting at $30 at http://bit.ly/Kesha4Nashville.
Ke$ha, who hits the road with Rihanna for a nationwide tour starting July 2nd and will be performing as part of NBC's Today Show summer concert series on August 13th, released her debut album Animal in January 2010 where it entered at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart as well as the Digital Albums chart. Animal has scanned 750k units and has been in the Top 20 albums every week since release in January. Ke$ha has sold over 10 million tracks and ringtones in the U.S. alone.
The New York Times referred to Ke$ha as a "double threat", Interview Magazine called her "...the perfect post-modern pop star", Rolling Stone said that Animal was "Ridiculously catchy..." and People Magazine said "This high octane debut could keep any basement party pumping like Studio 54."
