(NEW YORK – October 19, 2012) Soul singer and newly-signed RCA recording artist, Alex Boyd, will join R&B songstress Chrisette Michele for a handful of intimate shows beginning November 17th in Baltimore, Maryland and ending November 21st in Detroit, Michigan. Alex will kick off the six-show run with a headlining performance at New York’s SOB’s on Thursday, November 15th.

After a series of major summer festival performances, including his well-received debut at the Essence Music Festival, Alex’s first single “I Wish I Knew” is climbing the charts and available now at all digital providers. “I Wish I Knew,” produced by Carvin & Ivan (of Musiq Soulchild, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jill Scott fame), beautifully showcases Alex’s unique take on classic soul, roots, pop, and R&B music. Alex is currently putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming debut album for RCA, entitled COMMIT ME. Album highlights include a guest appearance from legendary Chicago emcee Common, who unleashes a fire-branded verse on the urban themed "Between The Lines,” fan favorite “Light up Tonight,” and more. Alex describes COMMIT ME as "honest, straight-from-the-heart music."

A Virginia native and currently Los Angeles-based, Alex embarks on his first ever East Coast dates.
