Rod Stewart kicked off his stay at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace on Saturday Nov. 6th and is already getting great reviews from fans and critics alike. Performing a total of 8 shows, Rod Stewart revisits classics from his decade-spanning catalogue of hits as well as newer songs including "I Get A Kick Out Of You" from his recent album Fly Me To The Moon.

Check out this great photo gallery of the show from Las Vegas Weekly, then read some excerpts below from reviews by the Las Vegas Sun and The Hollywood Reporter.

Las Vegas Sun
This is the type of show where everyone in the showroom -- and it seemed about at its 4,100-seat capacity -- knew every song.

Rod Stewart and Sin City seems like a match made in rock 'n' roll heaven: A likable veteran singer with a litany of broad-appeal hits and a personal history that would make a solid "What happens in Vegas ..." spot.

The Priests Join Forces with Shane MacGowan (Of The Pogues) On recording of “Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth”

Global musical superstars and ordained Catholic priests, The Priests - Father Eugene O’Hagan, his brother Martin and their old school friend David Delargy, have joined forces with Shane MacGowan (of The Pogues fame), to record a version of “Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth” on their brand new album NOEL (RCA Victor) in stores now. The Priests are one of the most celebrated musical acts the religious arena, having sold 3 million albums worldwide.

“Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth” was inspired by the massive hit released in 1977 when legends and Bing Crosby and David Bowie – an equally unpredictable collaboration – made it to the number one slot around the world and made it one of the greatest Christmas classics of all time.

Shane MacGowan says “The Priests are very talented singers and the track sounds good and hopefully people like it. We changed some of the lyrics from the original and we like it the way it is.”

Father Eugene adds “Our sharing the song with Shane MacGowan will come as a big surprise for many fans, both ours and his. Neither of us is about to change our respective styles of music or performance but it goes to show how music builds bridges and brings us into creative contact with unlikely partnerships. Bing and Bowie did it…now so have we – thank you Shane.”

NOËL is The Priests’ third album, produced by Mike Hedges (U2) and the follow up to 2009’s Harmony. The Priests, their self-titled 2008 debut album stormed the album charts entering at #5 in the UK and #1 in Ireland, and became the fastest selling UK debut for a classical act – as certified by The Guinness Book of World Records. In the U.S., the album held #1 spot on Billboard’s Heatseakers chart, #1 on the Classical Traditional Chart, #1 on the Top New Artist Album chart, and topped the Amazon sales chart.
