Imogen Heap's New Song Contest

IMOGEN HEAP ANNOUNCES PLANS TO RELEASE NEW SONG ON MARCH 28TH

HEAP TURNS THE TABLES ON HER AUDIENCE AS THEY BECOME THE CREATIVE SEEDS FOR THE FIRST SONG (WORKING TITLE #HEAPSONG1) FROM HER NEW ALBUM

INVITING FANS TO CONTRIBUTE WORDS, SOUNDS (SOUNDCLOUD), IMAGES (FLICKR) AND VIDEO (VIMEO) AS SHE BLOGS HER WAY TO THE FINISH LINE

(New York – NY) Grammy winner Imogen Heap has announced plans to release the first song and video from her new album on March 28th, 2011. However, the catch is... she hasn't written the song or any other material yet for the album. Imogen plans to gradually reveal the album over the next three years by writing and releasing a brand new track every three months. In true Imogen Heap fashion, she will be video blogging the entire process.

Rather than wait and release all the tracks as an album in the conventional way, Imogen plans to put the songs out as soon as they are ready and keep them relevant to the time they are created. Once she has completed enough tracks, she intends to release a proper physical / digital album.

Funeral Party’s U.S. Debut The Golden Age Of Knowhere Out March 29, 2011

Los Angeles, CA. (March 9, 2011) – Funeral Party will join legendary alt-metal band Deftones and mathcore mavericks The Dillinger Escape Plan on their North American spring tour, beginning on April 14 in Seattle, WA. The tour begins just weeks after the highly anticipated release of Funeral Party’s debut album The Golden Age Of Knowhere on March 29, 2011.

The Golden Age Of Knowhere was produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem, Oasis). The first three songs – “New York City Moves to the Sound of L.A.,” “Carwars,” and UK hit, “Just Because” –are highlights of the post-punk onslaught that the record instills. BBC Radio’s Zane Lowe has included several tracks off the album in his “Hottest Record in the World” playlist, including first U.S. single “Finale.” The video for the single recently won MtvU’s Freshman and is also a part of this month’s Fuse/MySpace Introducing series.
