LOS ANGELES, CA (May 27, 2022) – Today, pop singer/songwriter Christian French releases his latest single, “golden years,” out now via Disruptor Records/RCA Records.
The first release from Christian this year, “golden years” initially gained traction on social media after Christian performed the song for fans on TikTok. Garnering over a million views online, the heavily-anticipated “golden years” explores the fear of losing precious time in the prime of one’s life. Written during and inspired by the pandemic, the song carries a joyous, upbeat melody which is juxtaposed against its cutting lyrics that hint at a deeper sense of anger and frustration.
“‘golden years’ is based around the feeling that you’re missing out on some of the best years of your life because you’re anywhere but the present. You’re always stressed out trying to work towards that unquenchable ‘next thing,’ or trying to relive a good memory over and over again instead of allowing yourself to move on and make new ones,” says Christian French of the track. “I wrote this song in hopes that it would help me and everyone listening take off the blinders for a second and look around. Take in these little moments that our future selves will miss.”
