D’angelo On The Cover Of The Village Voice & Tops Pazz And Jop Critics Poll!

Pick up this week’s issue of The Village Voice to see D’Angelo grace the cover of their annual music issue. His newest album, Black Messiah, tops the annual Pazz + Jop Critics poll. The Village voice says, “Black Messiah is your 2014 poll champion by a fairly wide margin, thanks to the enthusiasm it inspired in voters. The easy explanation for that fervor is the element of surprise: D’Angelo is a man who would be among the first artists voted into a theoretical r&b Hall of Fame based solely on the two albums he released before last year — 1995’s Brown Sugar and 2000’s Voodoo.” Read more about the interview here.
