Elle King #1 At Alternative Radio With Hit Single “Ex’s & Oh’s”

Pop, blues, and rock’n’roll singer Elle King’s hit single “Ex’s & Oh’s” tops the Alternative Radio chart at #1 this week, after 18 weeks on the chart, and also holds the #1 spot on iTunes Alternative Songs chart today. Elle King becomes the second female artist in 18 years to reach #1 at Alternative Radio, following Lorde’s #1 with “Royals” in 2013.

Elle King recently wrapped her nearly sold out U.S. headlining tour this summer along with a run of festival dates including Bumbershoot, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Squamish Valley.  Additionally, she has performed at major UK festivals this year including Reading, Leeds, T in the Park and London Calling. She embarks on a tour in the UK with James Bay kicking off September 22nd in Manchester, England at the Apollo Theater. Elle was also named VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artist for the month of July. Elle has performed on The Today Show, Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Late Late Show with James Corden, Live with Kelly and Michael, and VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live in support of LOVE STUFF which has received overwhelming critical acclaim. Jon Pareles of The New York Times describes Elle King as “a sassy, hard-drinking, love-’em-and-leave-’em hellion with bad tattoos and a broad pedigree across rock, pop and country. She has Adele’s determination and Joan Jett’s stomp, Brenda Lee’s high-voiced bite and some AC/DC shriek.” Elle worked with acclaimed collaborators on her debut album LOVE STUFF including Dave Bassett, who produced and co-wrote “Ex’s and Oh’s,” Jeff Bhasker (Fun., Kanye West, The Rolling Stones), Eg White (Adele, Sam Smith), Jacknife Lee (R.E.M., U2,Crystal Castles), Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney), and Martin Johnson, among others.

Additionally, Elle has been featured by The Wall Street Journal, Teen Vogue, People Magazine, USA Today, and many more. This year she also contributed two songs to the Hot Pursuit soundtrack (a film starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara.
