Elle King’s Hit Single “Ex’s & Oh’s” Certified Gold By The RIAA

RCA Records is thrilled to announce today that pop, blues, and rock’n’roll singer Elle King’s hit single “Ex’s & Oh’s” is certified Gold according to the RIAA.  Elle is confirmed to perform on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” outdoor stage on October 26th.

The video for her hit single“Ex’s & Oh’s” has enjoyed over 6.5 million views on YouTube and is currently #1 on the iTunes Alternative Songs Chart, #7 on the iTunes Top Songs Chart, and #5 on Shazam’s U.S. Chart. The single also held the #1 spot for 3 consecutive weeks on the Alternative Radio Chart,  making history as the second female artist in 18 years to achieve this feat, following  Lorde’s #1 with “Royals” in 2013, who followed Tracy Bonham’s “Mother Mother” at #1 in 1996.  Elle is only the eighth female solo artist in the history of the chart to reach #1 at Alternative Radio. “Ex’s” is currently Top 10 at Hot AC Radio and Top 20 at Top 40 Radio, and climbing both of these pop formats at a rapid speed.

Elle is currently on a UK tour with James Bay and announced last week that she is adding headlining dates for the month of November in the U.S. and February dates with Vance Joy. Click here for upcoming tour dates.
Elle was named VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artist for the month of July, and will be performing as part of “VH1 Best Music of 2015: You Oughta Know” event live from The Armory Foundation in New York on Thursday, November 12 at 9PM ET airing live on VH1. In addition, she was one of the most buzzed about artists at this year’s SXSW, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo festivals with rave reactions from USA Today, Rolling Stone, Billboard and more.

Elle has performed “Ex’s & Oh’s” on The Today Show, Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Late Late Show with James Corden, Live with Kelly and Michael, and VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live in support of LOVE STUFF which has received overwhelming critical acclaim. Jon Pareles of The New York Times describes Elle King as “a sassy, hard-drinking, love-’em-and-leave-’em hellion with bad tattoos and a broad pedigree across rock, pop and country. She has Adele’s determination and Joan Jett’s stomp, Brenda Lee’s high-voiced bite and some AC/DC shriek.” Elle worked with acclaimed collaborators on her debut album LOVE STUFF including Dave Bassett, Jeff Bhasker, Eg White, Jacknife Lee, Mark Ronson, and Martin Johnson, among others.

Additionally, Elle has been featured by The Wall Street Journal, Teen Vogue, People Magazine, USA Today, and many more. This year she also contributed two songs to the soundtrack for Hot Pursuit (starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara).
