(Los Angeles, CA – May 27, 2022) – Today, Isaac Dunbar releases his highly-anticipated EP Banish The Banshee via RCA Records. The conceptual body of work, written and produced by Isaac, narrates the story of Isaac’s life through a series of sonic parables, lensed through the perspective of his alter-ego, the banshee.
“‘Banish The Banshee’ is a very conceptual EP. I disguised seven of the songs as parables told from the perspective of my alter ego, named Banshee,” says Isaac. “I want listeners to know who I am and where I come from, these songs tell stories about my life and how it led up to Banshee.”
Pulling inspiration from the funk-fueled, psychedelic ‘70s and the alt-rock riffs of the ‘90s to the larger-than-life pop sound of the early aughts, Banish The Banshee intricately leaps through genres and influences across its eight tracks, each exploring themes of love, sexuality, self-expression, and acceptance. His biggest and boldest offering yet, Banish The Banshee asserts Isaac Dunbar as a prolific young talent who defies the rules, showcasing his keen emotional intuition and artistic acuity.
Banish The Banshee kicks off with the bright, synth-laden offerings “Sunburn” and “Bleach” before treading into the disco-infused “Tainted Love” and the boisterous “Gummy.” “Money On That” slows things down with its dark, seductive croons before delving into the piano-driven ballad “Fool’s Paradise.” Ending in dramatic fashion with the project’s title track, “Banish The Banshee,” and “This Is An Intermission,” the project culminates in a bombastic crescendo of vibrant production and theatrical flair.
On June 5, Isaac will be performing at Outloud Raising Voices Music Festival in Los Angeles as part of Pride Month, followed by his headlining The Banshee Tour across North America. Kicking off June 8 at The Roxyin LA, full tour dates can be found below. To purchase tickets, visit here.

About Isaac Dunbar:
19-year-old Isaac Dunbar has carved out a spectacular and unique lane as one of the most critically heralded emerging artists of his generation. After supporting girl in red on her North American and European run of shows in 2019, he released his highly anticipated debut EP, balloons don’t float here. It garnered the attention of notable tastemakers like Zane Lowe, The FADER, Hypebeast, and Lyrical Lemonade, who called it “a display of pop mastery.” Hailing from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, his music melds complex sounds and atmospheric, beat-driven production to create melodic and introspective tracks with potent hooks. He makes lush, synth-driven music, which he writes, performs, and produces himself.
In 2020, with his newly inked deal with RCA Records, he released his critically acclaimed EP, isaac’s insects, which garnered over 48 million streams worldwide. Billboard called it a “stunning major label debut” and led his track “makeup drawer” to be featured in NPR’s “Best Music of 2020” list. His third EP, evil twin, was released at the top of 2021 and saw support from the likes of Earmilk, who declared it a “defiant pop record,” along with features in PAPER Magazine, SPIN, American Songwriter, E! News, and more, while amassing over 38 million streams worldwide. Last fall, Dunbar hit the road on his first-ever North American headlining tour, which included a sold-out show in New York and a performance at the All Things Go Festival in Washington, DC. With new music to come in 2022, Dunbar’s future shines brighter than ever before.
